Small, short-term grants to support the protection of human rights defenders, including for example personal, home or office security, legal costs or temporary relocation.
Who?
Human Rights Defenders, civil society groups, and movements targeted because of their human rights work.

MOVEMENT PROTECTION RESPONSE GRANTS
What?
Grants to develop and implement strategies to push back against civic space restrictions and targeting of Human Rights Defenders. These will remain flexible to allow for innovation but could include advocacy, movement building, or protection training and planning.

ECOSYSTEM STRENGTHENING GRANTS
What?
Grants to support local and national CSOs and groups working on protection. These funds can be used to strengthen the local protection ecosystem including through organisational strengthening, capacity building or core support.
Who?
Regional, national and local CSOs, groups and movements, such as a local protection network or initiative.
